Pics Done

This morning after biking I finished the last of the picture taking for all the minis I have here in NC with me. At least the ones I painted and are not terrain. I have a variety of Necromunda stuff painted by Joe P's wife and a variety of terrain that I have painted for Necromunda and some random stuff (a bridge, some Necromunda stuff, and maybe a couple of DF pieces, but it is not a lot).

About the only thing I have no taken a new photograph of that falls under this current project is Sophie's Revenge. Which does not fit in my light box and needs its own time zone.

I have also managed to crop the vast majority of the new photos. I will try to get them up in the coming week, but it may take a bit longer.

I am also going through my old photos that I have on this computer and pulling minis and DF pics. Once I get all the new photos up, I will start trying to put the older stuff up - starting with the DF.

Then the long process of captioning and annotating may begin. I thought I had someone lined up to help with creating caption fields and the like, but they seem to have disappeared. O well.

Life goes on. The house is pretty well settled. We will likely sell the Selma house before the end of the year. Who knows, I may even resume painting before the holidays.

I have come to realize that painting was my refuge while I was in my holding pattern, first during Covid and then while we tried to sell the Raleigh house. As the holding pattern has broken and those time frames are still mentally jagged, painting may have some negative emotions attached thereto. So, painting may still be on hiatus until that finishes flushing through. But there are fewer excuses now that the house is pretty much done and the website is getting into the end game. Like laundry, the website will never be done, but the heavy lifting of the photos is getting done and the commentary will filter in over time. Likewise, there is a lot of zen to be found in painting. I will find the mini that kickstarts me again.

But, getting the pics done feels like a huge milestone, so here I am patting myself on the back for that.

Wow, Wix shit the bed today

I am pretty sure I have discussed that I am using Wix to assist in giving me a WYSIWYG tool to make this website. All of the pictures are mine. All of the text is mine. I have generated with the AI
