Dwarven Forge Build Challenges

Dwarven Forge supports a Discord server.  I feel like that is a gaming industry standard at this point.  Regardless, there is a channel that has a monthly build challenge where interested members of the Discord submit various build prompts which are then voted on by interested parties.  Interest waxes and wanes as people have time and energy.  As with everyone else, my participation waxes and wanes.  During the move, I was particularly inactive and have not really gotten back into the habit of building for it, but here are some of my efforts.

A simple prompt - build what you want that fits within a 12" x 24" footprint.

12" x 24"

My thinking was that this was a basement of some building with a natural cavern that had some form of arcane circle.  The build is done on some 12x12 metal sheets.  Since the pieces are magnetized, they will stick to the metal sheets, making transportation a bit easier.

I dont remember the precise prompt, but I think it was something like "dragon lair"

I mentally titled this one "One Dragon, One Dwarf" after the perhaps apocryphal "One Riot, one Ranger" comment from a Texas Ranger.  The dwarf mini is the one I used for my favorite Living Greyhawk Character Hannis Silveraxe.  The big red dragon is an official WotC Colossal Red Dragon.  One of the largest I own.  Prepainted.  The build includes a variety of resin, hellscape, caverns and some of my foam elevation blocks.

Dragon Lair

Again, I forget the specific prompt, but the gist of it was multi-level.

This was not a huge success as it was rather precarious.  The thought was that there was a tunnel up to a ground level on which a tower was positioned - thus multiple levels of burrows, and multiple levels within the tower.  All with a 12x12 footprint.

Multi-Level

As the title suggest, the prompt was an Arena

Arena

I envisioned this as some form of giant entertainment.  The fire giant champion is fighting an ettin in this sunken pit.
